First time back out to Shenandoah since they re-opened. One of the many streams in the park. I spent a while here but my head just wasn't on right, so not super happy with the results I got that day, but still good practice. Was good to be back out either way.

I surely would be super happy with this result if it were my photo! This is a wonderful shot. I love the way you captured the spray of the cascade at the lower part of the frame and the way the mysterious green of the forest and the rocky stream create a mood of peaceful enchantment. Also like how the diagonal line of cascades takes my eye from lower left in the frame toward upper right. I would print it big and frame it.
Wow thanks so much, Frances, for the kind words.
Feel like I am in a movie set and something spooky is about to come out from the forest. Great eerie feeling; very different. Would love to get this kind of result. Really like this picture.
Thanks so much, @peter fass! If I remember right I think I did run into a bear that day, not sure if that counts as spooky though haha. Thanks for the kind words.
I understand, you go out with one "style" or subject in mind, and either the weather or something happens and you don't get what you had planned. But from a strictly outsiders view point, the photo is truly awesome, the misty forest with the way you captured the water works great together, the is a great foreground, and leading lines into the photo, The rock and hill kind of form a triangle pointing into the center of the photo. If this is a photo you are not happy with, I look forward to seeing the quality of the ones you do like..... great job
Thanks so much, @Buddy, I really appreciate the feedback. There's a lot I like about the photo I just wasn't super happy with the trees in the back, I couldn't get them in a way I really liked, but it's ok, apparently ya'll like it so that's great and I'll take it. It certainly was a blessing to get out that day after so long of not being able, and the 'mood' of the scene is certainly there. I just was having a cloudy day mentally so I wasn't focusing. Apparently I need to go back!
