Some of my favorite things to shoot are old buildings. I was delighted to come across this old sagging house, the yard of which was being used for a tire dump! This was my third visit to this building and was lucky enough to have the light and clouds the way I liked.
Interesting subject...old buildings are fascinating in their own way. Like the tires too.
I also like the subject of this photo and find it engaging to look at. Congrats on a strong post. A possible way to make it an even stronger photo would be to crop out some of the stuff on the right, like the other tire and the trees. They pull my eye off to the right away from the house and out of the photo and don't feel essential to the photo to me. The diagonal line created by the tires in the foreground already lead my eye in that direction, so cropping it on the right would help keep my eye in the frame. A square'ish crop would work nicely, I think. Another suggestion, and this is perhaps more of a personal stylistic preference, is that I would apply a vignette and darken the foreground a bit, again to lead my eye toward the house and accentuate the dark moodiness of the clouds. But overall, I really like this photo
