This was taken at the Eagle River Nature Center just north of Anchorage Alaska in the Chugach Mountains. It's the end of September at 7:30am

and you can see the snow line as it works its way down. Nikon D300, Nikkor 18-200mm lens @ 18mm, ISO 200, f-22, 1/10th sec, Manfrotto tripod.
Very nice composition. As incidental as they may be, the inclusion of the grasses in the LLC tend to balance things out. My initial impression was that it's a little over-saturated, but that's a personal preference I suppose.

Love the composition Jim but I feel it is just a bit dark. Maybe lighten the exposure just a bit. Especially if you are going to print.
Oops my bad Jim. I had lowered my MacBook brightness down quite a bit when I edit. Iso everything needs brightening. looks great when I did that.
@Frances Kuelz Thank You. Glad you like it. The ripples in the pond are from salmon. The grizzlies had not showed up yet at 7am :)
