Congrats, Peter! This finely composed capture of your majestic elephants is - for me - by far the best of your outstanding portraits of these elegant and clever giants! You must have spent quite some time to find their confidence and get them so close (60 mm focal length).
Wow; thanks very much for your comments on my composition. Really appreciate it. Regarding how close I was - while they did literally appear out of the mist, my camera is a Cropped Frame DSLR so the focal length was closer to 90mm equivalent to start with - and I cropped the picture as well - so they do look somewhat closer than I really was. But they were still close enough for me 😄; I know I sure didn't have any "confidence" in how they would react to me. Would love your thoughts on this "family shot" as well:
