I made this photo at the Redwood Forest in Victoria, Australia during November 2019. The serenity of the place combined with the awe-inspiring feeling of nature captivated me. Nature has this humbling ability to remind us about how large it is and how we should be really fortunate to be able to enjoy all the goodness of mother earth. The breadth of the forest and the height of the trees was so large that even a wide-angle lens doesn't do justice. I included people in the composition to illustrate the relative size of the trees. My objective was to keep the image simple by drawing the viewer's eye to the two women strolling leisurely amongst the huge trees and yet convey the serenity of the environment. I used a Nikon D810 with 20mm F1.8 prime lens. I shot the image in Aperture priority mode at F4.5 and shutter speed was 1/80 second. I used an ISO of 1600 because the large trees tend to block a lot of light.
