I notice that most photos here are sweeping landscapes with some portraits thrown in to the mix. So now for something totally different. Shooting into water allows for some more abstract images, ones that create visual interest by confusing the eye and blurring the boundary between land water and sky (Always a favourite theme of mine after some of Eschers works). Taking the image monochromatic can also add to confused visual cues. Feel free to comment and critique.

I love the wash of green and blue colors! It would be interesting to see your image if you desaturated the reflections just a hair, to allow the lily leaves to set themselves apart by both sharpness and color.
@Margaret Cheng I think this is a bit too far the other way but here goes. I lent my Wacom to a friend and ended up doing this with a mouse - I stayed in lightroom and had to do a lot of tone shifting and selective edits to get more colour separation. :)
Wow, It's amazing how different it looks, and what a different feel each of them has. I like them both, the first one for its exuberance, and the second for its more subtle and contemplative nature.
@Margaret Cheng thanks again. I don't know if other people commonly do the same, but if I like an image, I make use of Lightroom's virtual copies and snapshots to have different feels, different crops, different colour profiles. Its one of the reasons I have stuck with Lightroom over the years. (Love large image files I can do many crops that may not have been visible in camera). a photoshop version with a lot more processing
I love the second version best. The first feels a bit too over the top exuberant with no variation in saturation, but in the second I feel like I am staring into a whirlpool in the center framed by the colorful leaves below it. It has more depth and interest, I think. The third version is a bit too dark.
@Frances Gallogly , thank you, I appreciated the input from Margaret. The finish could have been cleaner but I gave my Wacom to a friend that was having shoulder and arm pain, so until a replacement arrives I am using the mouse
I think I like the 2nd version best too.
Thank you Margaret, it’s a busy image isolation of details is hard. I appreciate your input
