When I saw the morning forecast indicated fog, I knew I had to get out and shoot. I walked down to our community lake and hiked the trail looking for something to jump out. I found a couple of geese meandering around the small island in one of the coves. I loved the way the fog compressed the dynamic range and gave the scene an almost high key look. The morning hike proved to be a valuable respite from the current dismal sate of the world. Sometimes getting out and taking pictures can be a catharses that far outweighs the value of the art we produce. Canon 5D Mark IV, Tamron 24-70mm f/2.8, f/11, 1/15, ISO 100.
