I like to blur the lines between my photography and impressionist paintings. This was shot with Nikon D7000 18-200 lens@ 1/100 sec, F 5, iso 400, focal length 57mm (35 mm Equivalent). Post processing was done in photoshop and Topaz Studio 2 using unique textures and filter adjustments to achieve the desired look.

Very nice, @peter. While I am PERSONALLY not a big proponent of a lot of processing on photography, i think you definitely accomplished what you were going for here, so it's very nice, love the color of the I'm assuming macaws? And it does look very painterly, so good job.
Side note, I know it's not what your artistic vision is with this image, but I'd love to see the original photograph.
@Jeremey Voit
Jeremey, didnt realize I could simply post another picture here. So, here is the unedited version for comparison.
Thanks @Jeremy. I believe you are correct; they were macaw parrots once before I made them impressionist versions. I thought this photo leant itself to a painterly approach as it really brought out the vibrancy in their colors. To me it then became a "fun" eye catching composition. I know my impressionist works create "debate" among photographers, so I appreciate your comments all the more. I dont want to take up too much forum space with my before and after shots, so dont know how to share the original with you.
