Out of all the lighthouses on the Outer Banks of North Carolina, my favorite one to photograph is Bodie Lighthouse. On this particular day, the clouds over the ocean provided a nice backdrop. I really wanted to emphasize the majestic beauty and height of Bodie so I used my Nikon 14-24mm wide angle zoom, set at 14mm, on my Nikon D850 and got really low to the ground with my tripod using the brick walk way as my leading line to the lighthouse. I also used the fence to limit the width of the photo to create triangular wedge shape of the lawn on either side of the walkway adding more strong lines to the photo. Camera settings were ISO 64, f/13, and shutter speed of 1/15 second.
