I was traveling alone along this highway between two towns in the Lofoten Island, Norway this past Feb. The half buried barn initially caused me to slow down my car and took a second look. Although it was heavily overcasted and the short daylight was fading, I had to stop and survey the scene. I took some shots but was not too pleased with their compositions. As I folded up my tripod and headed back to my car, my peripheral vision caught the changing light on the horizon. There was a ray of sunlight that was peaking through the clouds. After quickly setting up the shot with the barn in the foreground, I decided to give a long shutter speed a try as it really accentuate the colorful sky. And this was the result.
Thanks for your comments. I have always enjoyed your very insightful and constructive critiques.

Timing is everything, you got a great shot
Gorgeous ..
I love everything about this shot. The broken down barn is wonderful. Then there are those rugged snow covered peaks and the movement of the clouds streaking in the sky with that flash of light. Aren't you glad you went back!
Fantastic!
Lovely composition! I really like the way the triangular shape of the barn is repeated in the mountains in the distance. The soft colors add to a feeling of serenity and quiet.
