Ian, in the summer of 2018, as a result of your writing, my wife and I traipsed for about 45 minutes through the sand before finding an opening (I guess one of several) to the Leprechaun slot canyon on the way from Blanding to Capitol Reef. Because a large bolder with a sharp upper edge to it blocked the entrance, my wife could not enter but I managed to climb over it. It was an experience we won't forget as we are in our middle 70's and not used to being alone in the middle of nowhere.
Just wanted to thank you for that. Would never had known about it except for you and would never have found it except for a gal who worked at the Pueblo museum in Blanding who was familiar with it and gave us the mile marker for it.
