As I continue my exploration of Cape Henlopen State park in Delaware, this jetty with its pillars in the water caught my attention just as the Dawn broke, and a full half hour before sunrise. the ocean was very calm, the waves were well under a foot, so I wanted to blur and emphasize the calmness, and peaceful daybreak
I first noticed how the clouds and rocks worked well together, they lead you to the pillions, but sadly no real foreground, but the reflection of the water sort of leads to the rocks, and into the middle ground of the pic. and then into the horizon and the clouds with just a lone star in the sky that I did not notice until post processing.

Lovely, Buddy.
This is a lovely shot. I like how the wave pattern and rock breakwater form a V pattern that is reflected in the clouds in the sky.
Wow, that is exactly what I saw, and this time it was before I took the pic!. I have been paying closer attention to composition, and actually trying to implement the tips I learned from studying Ian's book
Nice one. I also like the bright star or moon near the cloud, adds another point of interest, so yes it's like a line from the left up to the star. Good job.
This is exactly why I am up so early - to me - the Civil Twilight that happens each morning is one of the best times to take pics
