Thankfully the battlefields are still open near where I live. Got a chance to get out there and enjoy some fresh air. Lots of dogwood, was very pretty.

Thankfully the battlefields are still open near where I live. Got a chance to get out there and enjoy some fresh air. Lots of dogwood, was very pretty.
I like the choice of monochrome for this image but I feel the tree doesn't stand out enough against the background, despite the fact that the background is nicely blurred. Maybe it's too close to the background. Or perhaps the background can be darkened more. I'm just not sure.
Yeah I see what you're saying Frances. I agree. I think I oversharpened it for starters, that might've brought the background out more. I did try to add a bit of a vignette to help some. I might go back and mess with it all haha.
