I like to photograph waterfalls using an ND filter and long exposure times. I was wondering if anyone uses a circular polarizing filter with an ND filter together to help cut the glare on the water. I haven't tried it yet but I'm thinking about it. If anyone has tried this let me know how it worked out.

Hi Robert, absolutely, a polarizer filter is really useful when photographing wet scenes such as waterfalls to reduce glare and improve overall contrast and color. You can use ND filters together with polarizer filters without a problem. Note, however, that since a polarizer cuts down on the light coming in through the lens (typically about 2 stops), you might not need an ND filter to get the longer shutter speed you are seeking. I typically aim for 1/2 to 1 second for my waterfall photography. Hope this helps!
Thanks for the great information!
Breakthrough Photography sells "dark" circular polarizers that have a built in ND. They come in 3-stop and 6-stop versions. I have a normal (i.e., no polarizer) 6-stop ND from them, and it is truly wonderful compared to other products I have used (which all had nasty color casts even though a lot of people say they don't). I am really interested in trying one of these.
Thanks for that information, I will take a look at their circular polarizer with the built in ND filter.
