The Harenna Forest in Bale Mountains National Park in Ethiopia is a really beautiful place, but one that is incredibly difficult to photograph. The trees are twisted with great shapes, but the forest is incredibly chaotic. I spent several days in the Harenna, wandering for hours each day trying to find order within the chaos. This is the best composition I found. I used my Canon 8-15mm fisheye lens to add some additional curviness to this photo, exaggerating the weird shapes of the trees.

Great composition!
I love the way the photo leads your eye into the forest. Beautiful.
The rock in the foreground seemingly fits into the arc of the tree above like a puzzle piece.
