Beautiful, Jeremey. I love that strong black diagonal and all the other diagonals that parallel it in the image. I'm not sure about the small bright rock in the lower left , though; it definitely stands out in that shadow but seems too small to become an actual focal point...have you considered darkening it or cloning it out?
I love the dramatic black and white you have here. If you have a color version, would you mind posting it? I'm just curious what it looks like; I seldom convert images to B&W myself and would love to compare the two.
Hey Jim, thanks for the kind words. Yeah I agree about the rock too, I'm just a super purist when it comes to photoshop haha, I hate cloning just about anything out unless I could've physically changed it in reality (footprints, trash etc), but that's just me. I wish I figured it out there, but I make silly mistakes, oh well. I've posted the color version here. when I was out in Colorado it was basically all blue skies, and I have found that during the day with blue skies, B&W seems to work better for me if there's strong contrast. I got another picture I may post that's similar from the same trip (unless I already did, I forget). I also have posted here a very quick redo crop of the B&W, what's everyones thoughts? Thanks again James!
This is one of my favorite images from this past spring in Norway. Please let me know what you guys think about it. Nikon D850 with PC Nikkor 19mm f/4E. That tilt-shift lens is amazing for landscape work!
This is one of my better images from a recent trip to Hawaii. I wrote about how I processed this image and why I like it on my blog ( https://theartfulengineer.com/volcanic-dawn ), but I'd be interested to hear what you guys think about it, good or bad. Can any of you find the animal in this image?
