Hi everyone! When I’m out in the field scouting for compelling landscape photos, I’m often looking for lines or curves that will direct the viewer‘s eye deeper into the composition, such as with these shadows emanating from a dead tree backlit by the setting sun in the Namibia desert. I went wide and low, causing the lines to form a radial patterns, adding depth to the photo and drawing the viewer into the visual design. Canon 5DIII, Canon 16-35mm f/2.8 lens, ISO 100, f/13, 1/160 second.

I love how you have creatively used the interaction of shadow and light to create compositional shapes. The red truck in the middle of the line created by the patch of sunlight is the icing on the cake!
