Sable Falls is located within the Pictured Rocks National Shoreline of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. With a significant amount of distractions from downed trees this waterfall is difficult to shoot so I did my best to minimize their impact by focusing on the beautiful flowing water and autumn colors. Shot earlier this month (October) using a Canon 5DSr and 16-35 lens with polarizer. Feedback is welcome and appreciated. Thanks!

Lots of great fall color photos here on the forum! This is lovely Bill - last time I went to Sable Falls, it was cluttered with dead wood, looks like most of it got cleared out. Great colors, I love the flow of the stream through the composition, and you perfectly nailed the long exposure to add creative blur to the water while retaining some texture.
Thank you for your comments, they mean a lot to me as I work at developing my composition skills. There is still quite a bit of clutter in Sable Falls so I searched to find a composition that hid most of it. I appreciate your feedback on the water flow too, I am not fond of either frozen flow or flow that is milky white.
The layering of the yellow planes leads the eye from a nearby 'curtain' to a distant backdrop very skillfully.
