I love colour. I think colour is an oft overlooked element of composition.
In this photo, the warm oranges of the mountains contrast beautifully with the cool green blue of the water. Orange (and brown a neutralized orange) are opposite on the colour wheel. Opposites on the colour wheel are said to be complimentary and produce pleasing colour contrast.
Hi Brian, I agree with you completely. There are certain color palettes that really work well together and I find more and more that I love for them whenever I'm with my camera.
Just purchased your Landscape course and watched the first few videos and I gotta say it’s well worth the money, can’t wait to watch the rest of it. Loved seeing the scenery from the drone as you drove around scouting out locations.
