The bugle of elk was quite prevalent in the Tetons first day or so I was there, however the sight of them was somewhat sparse, I figure because of all the crowds. I did get to see this guy and his harem for a little bit during our visit.
Canon RP - Tamron 150-600 @ 600mm, f/6.3, 1/1600th, ISO - 6400

Wow awesome shot! Quick question-at ISO 6400 did you have any issues with noise?
Thanks, Buddy! What you see is what you get, this is the JPEG from the camera just resized. I think with the Canon RP I can get up to 12,800 without it being like unusable, but I'd have to do some tests. Also getting the exposure is really important.
@Buddy Scott, here's a 1500x1000 crop from the full size image, nothing done to it. I don't think that's too bad, what's ya'lls thoughts?
Awesome shot, the crop still
The way you captured him is perfect; he just looks so majestic. The relief against the background really makes him stand out as he surveys his land. Love it. The crop also - very sharp
I am ravished by your capture, Jeremey! But Buddy's suspection about noise is correct: You can see the noise in the close-up crop. (besides: there is no picture without noise, never). But your capture remains a top-shot - nevertheless! Btw: Noise can be reduced. You need a sound knowledge and the appropriate software. I know that some noise in your capture isn't your concern now. But if you'll maintain your pace you showed so far, you will soon come to a point where you will get chances to publish your images – and then you need to edit them on a top art level. With high respects for your work – Chris
Wow I appreciate your kind words. I have been very blessed to be able to experience and shoot the things I have.
