It's been almost a month since I posted anything here, so I wanted to catch up. I wrote an article about how I came to meet this particular rattlesnake under my shed in late November; most people found it pretty entertaining, if you're interested in reading it. https://theartfulengineer.com/the-rattlesnake-under-the-shed . Nikon Z7 with Nikkor AF-S 500mm f/5.6E PF at its minimum focus distance of about 10'.
Hi everyone, the latest episode of ShuttermonkeysTV is now available. Zac Mills and I traveled to Churchill, Manitoba to photograph polar bears along the shores of Hudson Bay. We got there just in time before the sea froze and the bears dispersed on the ice to hunt seals for the winter. Please enjoy this free video, and don't forget to subscribe to the ShuttermonkeysTV channel on YouTube!
Anybody have any suggestions for photographing bobcats and black bears in the mid Atlantic? Winter is here where I live so the scenery is pretty dull photographically, but I really want to get a good shot of something like a bobcat this season, just wondering if anyone has any suggestions on the when/where etc. Thanks! Oh and I'm using a Canon EOS RP and I have a Tamron 150-600, so I have a decent amount of reach.
