Hi everyone, I'm joining in on the #unleash challenge. There's been some amazing photos posted so far and we've been very impressed with the level of creativity! I wanted to share the story behind one of my favorite images. Back in October last year, we were tracking the black rock lion pride and found them shortly after sunrise. The sun was very strong and the morning was pretty cool, which made for perfect backlighting conditions. We positioned our vehicle facing the sun and just had to hope that the lions walked directly into the glowing, golden light. Luckily for us this lioness obliged and by underexposing several stops I was able to capture its golden exhale as she purposefully walked past us. Underexposing also rendered the shrubs in the foreground very dark which further helped to frame the image.
