Sandhill Crane mom with Colt, now a couple of days old. It has been a privilege to follow these cranes and their two babies from nest to hatching to first week of life. After one week, the older Colt is following its parents around the community bringing joy to all the residents. The younger Colt was starving and would have perished but for quick action on the part of two women in the community who summoned animal control. That Colt is now being fed and flourishing at Creature Safe Place in Fort Pierce, Florida, a wildlife rehab center that has specialized in cranes for 27 years.

Very nice, Frances. I really like this one.
Thank you.
This sweet photo makes me smile and feel good about the world. The light background behind the cranes' heads is very pleasing.
Thank you.
