Thank you for coming to my rescue again. I couldnt match it on the Birds of Africa site I was looking at. Now that you have found it, it is clearly a three-banded Plover; and so renamed in your honor.
@peter fass haha cool deal. I guess I've gotten familiar enough with bird types that I recognized it was something like killdeer and I guess that led to plovers, so I think I just searched for plovers in Africa. Same with the grey heron, I've seen tons of herons and he fits the bill (pun intended).
